Revolte Rum 2014 MTQ. Revolte is a relatively new rum brand from Germany. I have previously featured their unaged White Rum. With this release Revolte are letting us try an aged offering of their rum.
Revolte Rum 2014 MTQ was distilled in August 2014. It is the first Single Cask rum from Revolte to be released. After a three-year maturing phase in ex Rhum-Agricole barrels from Martinique the MTQ was bottled in September 2017, at cask strength 56% ABV. 377 bottles of this rum are available. An Angel’s Share of 21% overall has been noted.
The Duchess Rum Guadeloupe Aged 19 Years. Hailing from the Netherlands The Duchess are gaining a bit of a reputation amongst Rum Enthusiasts for their bottlings.
Velho Pescador Extra Premium Cachaca Aged 5 Years. Velho Pescador is actually a Weber Haus product. I was unaware of this. As a result of this my sample has remained untouched for a couple of months – as I had so many to try. I had not heard or seen of Velho Pescador before. My bad!
Rhum Depaz Rhum Hors D’Age Agricole XO. Or we could call it the Grande Reserve XO. Either way this is one of the top rums in the Depaz range. Rhum Depaz hail from the French Island of Martinique. Rhum Depaz produce their agricole rhum in line with the 
Phraya Deep Matured Gold Rum. This is a rum from Thailand. My previous experiences with Thai rum have been largely underwhelming, with the so-so SangSom and the frankly strange concoction that was Mekhong. Technically Mekhong isn’t really a rum – it is often sold as Thai Whisky. Weird stuff nonetheless no matter what you call it.
