Rhum Bologne VO Rhum Vieux. When I first bought a couple of bottle of Rhum Bologne (on offer from Amazon), I didn’t think I had reviewed any “Rhum Bologne”.
However, upon doing a bit of research I realised I had of course reviewed their Rhum Bologne Black Cane way back in 2017.
Threeways Rum – First Release. Who knows, maybe there will be three releases of this? Or three different rums released perhaps?
I’m just messing, the team behind this particular rum have given me a host of information on the rum and the ethos behind it.
Threeways Rum has been released by Sham Mahabir and Paolo Molinari, who are behind the Limin’ Beach Club based in Canary Wharf, London.
Damoiseau Rhum Vieux Millesime 1995. My Agricole Rhum journey is no where near as advanced as my forays into Molasses based rums. That is re-inforced yet again by the fact I have never reviewed an Agriocle Rhum, from one of Guadeloupe most respected producers Damoiseau. Certainly not under their “official” name anyway.
Kill Devil Guadeloupe Bellevue Distillery Aged 20 Years The Whisky Barrel Exclusive. Another collaboration between The Whisky Barrel and Hunter Laing’s rum offshoot Kill Devil. This time they have bottled two separate casks for 20-year-old rum from the Bellevue Distillery on Guadeloupe.
Today I am reviewing the following cask. Both rums are available only from The Whisky Barrel and are priced at £129.95.
The Duchess Rum Guadeloupe Aged 19 Years. Hailing from the Netherlands The Duchess are gaining a bit of a reputation amongst Rum Enthusiasts for their bottlings.
I was recently fortunate enough to interview Nils Van Rijn about The Duchess and the rum world in general. I wanted to interview Nils because I had sampled some of his rums and (without wanting to pre-empt this review) been very impressed.
Bologne Black Cane is a relatively new white rhum agricole from established producer Rhum Bologne. Hailing from the island of Guadeloupe, Rhum Bologne are perhaps best known for the popularity of their rhum blanc.
This is produced in various ABV’s and some is even available by the bag in box method in many French supermarkets. Have I ever mentioned the variety of white agricole rhum available in French supermarkets at crazy prices? Wow!
