Monymusk Overproof White Rum

Monymusk Overproof White Rum Review by the fat rum pirateMonymusk Overproof White Rum. Monymusk Sugar Estate lies in the South of the island of Jamaica on the Vere Palins in the parish of Clarendon. Rum has been made from Jamaican molasses in this area since the 18th century. Monymusk rum is initially distilled at the ultra modern Clarendon Distillery. The rums in the Monymusk portfolio are then blended and aged at the nearby Innswood facility which was also formerly a distillery but is now a blending and ageing house. Worthy Park Special Cask Release Oloroso

Worthy Park Special Cask Release Oloroso Rum Review by the fat rum pirateWorthy Park Special Cask Release Oloroso. It was around 3 years ago I first tried Worthy Park’s “Rum Bar” range. A gold, white overproof and a Rum Cream. At the time I wanted more. I wanted to try some aged Worthy Park juice.

Due to the lack of, at the time “official” Worthy Park aged releases I found myself at the mercy of the Independent bottler. An exclusive bottling sees one of Scotland’s younger rum bottlers, team up with a relatively youthful Scottish retailer in the shape of The Whisky Barrel.

The Whisky Barrel have been earning a great reputation over the past few years. Focusing and stocking Independent bottlings of both whisky and rum. Rum Nation Rare Rums Worthy Park 2006 2017

Rum Nation Rare Rums Worthy Park 2006 2017 rum review by the fat rum pirateRum Nation Rare Rums Worthy Park. This is a rum from the second fully operational year for Worthy Park since the distillery was relaunched. The Rum Nation bottlings don’t seem to be as easy to get in the UK as they are in most of mainland Europe. I’m not really sure why this is the case as they would be pretty popular. This added to their fondness for a touch of “dosage” means I don’t review a great deal of their products. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating
