Turmalina da Serra Carvalho

Turmalina da Serra Carvalho Rum Cachaca Review by the fat rum pirateTurmalina da Serra Carvalho is the latest cachaça to be reviewed on the site. Hailing from Areia in Parariba state. Turmalina da Serra is produced at the Cachoeira Sugar Mill. The property spans over 60,000 m2 in the Atlantic Forest.

At one point there were over 120 cachaça producing sugar cane plantations in the town of Areia alone. Today this stands at around 30 – still quite a lot of cachaça to be producing. Especially as this is a swamp area….. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating

Velier Hampden H Diamond 2010 Rum Review by the fat rum pirateHampden Diamond H 2010 7 Year Old Velier 70th Anniversary. Quite a mouthful. I have chose to write out the “Diamond” part of the marque rather than as its shown on the bottle as WordPress doesn’t like you using those arrows and it strikes through the rest of the text.

Enough of my publishing difficulties though. Hampden Diamond H 2010 is as mentioned a 7 Year Old rum. It was released to commemorate the 70th Anniversay of Italian Importer and bottler Velier. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating

Dom Bre Ouro Carvalho

Dom Bre Ouro Carvalho Rum Review by the fat rum pirate CachacaDom Bre Ouro Carvalho. Hailing from the Guarani Distillery in the state of Minas Gerais comes Dom Bre. “Cachaca Con Arte” as the label goes.

I’ll confess I’m not all that “green” minded but I am sure such practices will appeal to a good number of people. Just maybe forget about the fact the Cachaca has to be transported from Brasil to Europe….. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating

Worthy Park Single Estate Reserve

Worthy Park Single Estate Reserve Jamaica Rum Reivew by the fat rum pirateWorthy Park Single Estate Reserve. I’ve been waiting quite a while for this one. I’m a big fan of Worthy Park’s Rum-Bar range. Which include a White Overproof, a Gold rum and a very tasty Rum Cream.
