Ron Colon Salvadoreno High Proof Rum. I have already reviewed the Ron Colon Salavadoreno Coffee Infused High Proof Rum. So today we are dropping the coffee and seeing how the rum stands up on its own.
As noted in the previous review I had though that this was a rum from El Salvador. Which had been distilled on a multi column still at the Cihuatan Distillery. Now to some degree it is but rather strangely it also contains Jamaican rum. Now bearing in mind the “pull” of El Salvadorian rum – which is relatively unknown and unheralded. Jamaica is for many the birth place of rum and Jamaican rum is sought out by most if not all Rum Enthusiasts.
Tilambic 151 Overpoof Aged Rum. The world of Overproof rum is quite an interesting one. Bottlers producing rum, which you are then advised not to take neat, as it may be hazardous to your health.
Monymusk Overproof White Rum. Monymusk Sugar Estate lies in the South of the island of Jamaica on the Vere Palins in the parish of Clarendon. Rum has been made from Jamaican molasses in this area since the 18th century. Monymusk rum is initially distilled at the ultra modern Clarendon Distillery. The rums in the Monymusk portfolio are then blended and aged at the nearby Innswood facility which was also formerly a distillery but is now a blending and ageing house.
Pusser’s relaunched their rums in 2014 to stop all the confusion about the various Blue Labelled rums floating around different parts of the world at varying strengths.
