Ron del Barrilito 3 Star

Ron del Barrilito 3 Star Rum Review by the fat rum pirateRon del Barrilito 3 star. This is perhaps one of the most misunderstood and controversial “rums” in the rum world. On researching this rum, it seems history has been re-written time and time again with regards as to what exactly this rum really is.

A lot of the confusion is caused by “word of mouth” and people passing on information from brand ambassadors, fellow enthusiasts and on occasion the actual producers of Ron del Barrilito. If you try and research this rum you are left with the impression, this could be anything from the greatest rum ever, to a very average “spiced” rum. As with most things, the truth when such polar opposites exist is perhaps more somewhere around the centre of the argument! Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating

Worthy Park Special Cask Release Madeira

Worthy Park Special Cask Release Madeira rum review by the fat rum pirateWorthy Park Special Cask Release Madeira. This rum is noted as being number 4 in the Worthy Park run of Cask Selection releases.

I also have the Sherry Cask release to review. The Virgin Oak edition I tried at London Rumfest in October has yet to surface in retail…….. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating

Kill Devil Trinidad Caroni Distillery Aged 20 Years 64.8% ABV The Whisky Barrel Exclusive

Kill Devil Trinidad Caroni Distillery Aged 20 Years 64.8% ABV The Whisky Barrel ExclusiveKill Devil Trinidad Caroni Distillery Aged 20 Years 64.8% ABV The Whisky Barrel Exclusive. Apologies for the not so snappy title. I always try and provide sufficient information, particularly when dealing with Independent bottlings. This is in the hope a web search will turn up the result you are looking for. I’ve included the ABV in the title because The Whisky Barrel has two Caroni 20 Year Olds from Kill Devil that have just been released. They hail from two different casks but were distilled and bottled at approximately the same time. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating
