The series shows no signs of abating and with a number of Exclusive Cask releases with various retailers and Rum Clubs, it really is becoming nigh on impossible to review EVERY Foursquare release.

Ron Bengalo Rum from Barbados. In todays climate most people out there will be hunting for the odd rum bargain. Especially, when it comes to something to use as a casual weekend mixer.
Most supermarket own label Dark and White rum tends to be unaged rum from Trinidad. It’s cheap and nearly every supermarket stocks, it along with a Spiced Rum or a “Spirit Drink”. At a pinch its a go to for a cheap mixer to get a little merry with. You just have to know you’re not getting a great deal for your £10-£15
The Real McCoy Aged 5 Years. The Real McCoy is a rum brand with one of the few “honest” back stories. Indeed the commonly used term “The Real McCoy” was coined from the legendary rum runner Bill McCoy. Who smuggled rum into the US during the prohibition era. He never adulterated his product and as a result people began asking for “The Real McCoy” as a sign of a quality spirit.
Mount Gay XO Triple Cask Blend. For once in the rum world new packaging does 100% mean a change in the blend. It is not just the work of conspiracy theorists, who can remember exactly, what a rum tasted like 20 years ago and immediately notice tiny little differences to the blend – but only I hasten to add once the bottle shape and/or label have changed……..
Golden Devil Barbados Fourasquare Rum Distillery Aged 11 Years. Welcome all to the very first World Foursquare Rum Distillery Day (17th November 2019). An idea stemming from the creative mind of Richard Blesgraaf the spirits retailer, who also set up the Facebook group Foursquare Rum Appreciation Society.
Foursquare Rum Distillery Patrimonio. This is one of three Sherry finish/2nd maturation rums Foursquare have released this year. I have already reviewed Empery and Hereditas. Empery was part of the ongoing Exceptional Cask Series and Hereditas was an exclusive bottling for The Whisky Exchange’s 20th Anniversary celebrations.
Foursquare Rum Distillery 2007. Foursquare may have dropped the “Rum Distillery” part from the front label but I’m keeping if for my review titles. Just to keep things nice and tidy. I was going to finish off the sherry finished rums and review Patrimonio but my photographer is not available tonight, so we’ll do the 2007 instead.
