Foursquare Rum Distillery Shibboleth. I should really be dropping the “Rum Distillery” part of my title, as Foursquare are no longer noting this on the bottle. I’m not particularly troubled usually by anything approaching OCD type tendencies. I’m probably one of the most lazy, unorganised people you could ever meet, so even if I did have OCD I’d probably be rubbish at it…….

Jung & Wulff Luxury Rums No 3 Barbados. As the title of this review might suggest this is the third rum I have reviewed in the Jung & Wulff series from American powerhouses Sazerac.
I’ve covered the story around Jung & Wulff in previous reviews. So if you haven’t read the reviews prior this one (which of course you will have) please check them out. I don’t like repeating myself in my reviews. I’m sure I’ll find something else to prattle on about. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating
Cockspur XO Master’s Select. Up until a couple of years ago, you would have been lucky to find a range of Cockspur branded rum in the UK. Aside from the gold Cockspur Fine Rum. Which was available quite readily in a couple of major supermarkets.
Before this the VSOR and/or 12 was quite readily available but this dried up considerably over the past 5 or so years. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating
Threeways Rum – First Release. Who knows, maybe there will be three releases of this? Or three different rums released perhaps?
I’m just messing, the team behind this particular rum have given me a host of information on the rum and the ethos behind it.
Threeways Rum has been released by Sham Mahabir and Paolo Molinari, who are behind the Limin’ Beach Club based in Canary Wharf, London. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating
Foursquare Rum Distillery Redoubtable. The Exceptional Cask Series from Foursquare shows no signs of letting up. This is the XV marque so the 15th release in the series. Which started with relatively little fanfare, with the now much sought after 1998 release. How things have changed.
This particular rum is, according to Richard Seale, the follow up to last years Nobiliary.. As far as the name is concerned Redoubtable means “formidable” or “very strong”. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating
Foursquare Rum Distillery Sassafras. Had Foursquare called their iconic first collaboration with Velier Sassafras instead of 2006 – then this rum could have been called Sassafras 2. This release is essentially 2006, only older to all intents and purposes.
We’ve not seen a lot of Foursquare rum that has been matured in ex-cognac casks. The excellent 2013 and 2006 being the only ones I can think of. Sadly for me those are both rums which I no longer have access to. I did buy multiple bottles of the 2013 and intended to keep a bottle back. Unfortunately, I ended up drinking it. Levy Lane Rum Co Tamosi Port Cask. I recently reviewed the “regular” blend of Tamosi rum. This is pretty much the same blend with a Port Cask finish and a higher ABV. Should be good? We’ll sharp find out.
As well as the regular Tamosi release, the Levy Lane Rum Co. have also got two “single cask” rums which I will be reviewing as quickly as I can. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating
