Foursquare Equidem

Foursquare Equidem Rum review by the fat rum pirateFoursquare Equidem. Today we have a review of the 27th release in the Foursquare Exceptional Cask Series. The series shows no signs of abating and with a number of Exclusive Cask releases with various retailers and Rum Clubs, it really is becoming nigh on impossible to review EVERY Foursquare release. Foursquare Magisterium

Foursquare Magisterium rum review by the fat rum pirateFoursquare Magisterium. The latest (unless they have snuck another one out in the last few days) in the increasingly prolific Exceptional Cask Series from Foursquare Rum Distillery, Barbados.

I can’t say Magisterium is a word I have come across before. According to the Collins English Dictionary it relates to the teaching authority or function of the Roman Catholic Church. I dare say this particular name may be a bit of side swipe at another rum producer……. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating

That Boutique-y Rum Company Foursquare Distillery Barbados Aged 12 Years Batch 7 rum review by the fat rum pirateThat Boutique-y Rum Company Foursquare Distillery Barbados Aged 12 Years Batch 7. If I ever get around to releasing some rum, please remind if only for the sanity of my fellow bloggers not to call it The Fat Rum Pirate Rum Company. Foursquare Touchstone

FOursquare Touchstone Rum review by the fat rum pirate Foursquare Touchstone. Touchstone represents the 22nd release in the Exceptional Cask Series from Foursquare Rum Distillery, Barbados. This release is a bit of a collaboration in terms of the maturation.

After a year the casks were emptied and and the cognac was shipped back to France. The casks were then filled with 2008 vintage and 12 year old ex-bourbon cask rum. The rum was then matured for a further two years. More information can be found here. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating

For this release Foursquare are using their older label template which includes “Rum Distillery”. Despite the appearance this release is not the latest in the Exceptional Cask Series (ECS). It is in fact a Private Cask Selection release from The Whisky Exchange. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating

Foursquare Rum Distillery Shibboleth

Foursquare Rum Distillery Shibboleth rum review by the fat rum pirateFoursquare Rum Distillery Shibboleth. I should really be dropping the “Rum Distillery” part of my title, as Foursquare are no longer noting this on the bottle. I’m not particularly troubled usually by anything approaching OCD type tendencies. I’m probably one of the most lazy, unorganised people you could ever meet, so even if I did have OCD I’d probably be rubbish at it……. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating

Foursquare Rum Distillery Redoubtable

Foursquare Rum Distillery Redoubtable rum review by the fat rum pirateFoursquare Rum Distillery Redoubtable. The Exceptional Cask Series from Foursquare shows no signs of letting up. This is the XV marque so the 15th release in the series. Which started with relatively little fanfare, with the now much sought after 1998 release. How things have changed.

This particular rum is, according to Richard Seale, the follow up to last years Nobiliary.. As far as the name is concerned Redoubtable means “formidable” or “very strong”. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating
