Cachaca Sebastiana Duas Barricas Quatro Anos. Hailing from the Alambique Santa Rufina, Rodovia, Sao Paulo state. The brand Sebastiana is fairly recent to the market but the distillery has been operational over 60 years.
Prior to the release of the Sebastiana brand in 2014, the distillery produced (and still does) Cachaca Faceira. It was the second generation of cachaca producers in the Mattos family who decided to enter what they term as the “Super Premium” cachaca market.

McDowell’s No1 Celebration Deluxe XXX rum. A first for this site, in that I am reviewing a rum from a cardboard box…..The ethos of this site has always been that I’ll review pretty much anything that has rum written somewhere on the label.
I know a lot of other review sites swerve from what they perceive as “inferior” spirits. At the end of the day the idea of this site is to try and inform your more average consumer. I like the idea that people can walk into a store and if they see something they are unsure of, they can search for a review online. Hopefully, they will come across a review from this site which will better inform them, whether to purchase or not.

Foursquare Rum Distillery Nobiliary. As I write and had I not had issues with my (un)trusty old laptop I would have had this review published earlier, this particular bottling is only available in the UK from our good friends over at The Whisky Exchange. Who due to demand are currently in the process of re-listing this whilst ensuring they have sufficient bottles to send to those who purchased last week. I think they have re-listed it now
Mhoba Pot Stilled White Rum. I first came across Mhoba Rum at London Rumfest a few years ago. 2017?
At the beginning there was a bit skepticism surrounding the brand. They had pretty much rocked over from South Africa. Hardly a hot bed of rum and had a big-ish selection. Not just one or two expressions of Pure Single Sugarcane Rum, as they called it. Okay, they had 4 expressions but it seemed a lot more at the time…….
Arborea Blend Amburana e Carvalho. Arborea are a cachaca brand which hails from Pirapetinga, Minas Gerais. The south eastern state of Minas Gerais is perhaps the most well known cachaca producing state in all of Brasil. A number of high quality and long established cachaca distilleries and brands are synonymous with Minas Gerais.
