Rum Bougainville Gold. Bougainville may not be familiar to many of you. It is a brand of rums from the island of Mauritius. Bougainville hails from the Oxenham Distillery. I have featured rums from Mauritius in the past – Penny Blue and Pink Pigeon both of which hailed from the Medine Distillery.

Flor de Cana Extra Seco 4. Flor de Cana are a rum producer from Nicaragua. They are one of the most popular and recognised brands worldwide.
Flor de Cana recently overhauled the presentation of all their rums. Not only did this update and modernise the presentation, it also saw the age statements removed.
Bounty Fiji Rum Premium Overproof Rum. It might well be the case that we never see this rum for sale in Europe (or the US). It seems to say firmly in the Oceania area of the Southern Hemisphere.
So when I saw this on an Auction site I was quite determined to get it. I was pleasantly surprised to pick it up for £40. I’ve tried a few Independently bottled Fiji rums but never an official bottling.
Pusser’s 15 Year Old Rum has been around for some time. (At least 15 years I can hear someone saying……) I first reviewed it a few years ago. I do intend to re-review some of the rums I have covered going forward. To be honest, Pusser’s 15 Year Old was one that would have had that treatment bestowed upon it anyway – miniatures of the rum are readily available. Which makes it easier on the wallet.
Santa Teresa 1796 Solera Rum. This is a re-review. I originally reviewed this back in 2015. At the time it was my 100th review. To be honest I’ve since stopped counting but we must be approaching 500 by now.
Anyway Santa Teresa are a rum producer from Venezuela. This 1796 rum was originally released back in 1996 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Hacienda Santa Teresa distillery.
Appleton Estate 15 Year Old Rum. Don’t get too excited about this. I have some bad news. Currently unless you are in Canada – you will struggle to find a bottle of this. As it is an exclusive release for Canada. Which on the face of it seems a bit of an odd decision but odd things do often happen in the world of rum.
