Cachaca Princesa Isabel Cana Caiana. This is the second cachaca up for review from the Fazenda Tupa which produces the Princesa Isabel range of cachacas. Hailing from Linhares, Espirito Santo state, Princesa Isabel is a family run business.
They produce their cachaca from two strains of sugar cane RB7515 and RB5453, which are suited to the climate present at Fazenda Tupa. The brand is named after the Cellia family matriach Isabel.
Cachaca Santo Grau Itirapua. The Santo Grau brand brings together 3 different sugar mills/distilleries for its range of artisanal cachaca. The cachaca I am reviewing today is one the three signature bottlings from each of those distilleries.
It is also closely related to the previous Santo Grau cachaca I reviewed as it comes from the same small distillery in Sao Paulo state Itirapua.
Cachaca Tabua Flor de Prata. We are back in Salinas, Minas Gerais for this review of a white cachaca from Tabua Industria e Comercio de Cachaca Ltda. Luckily they stick to just Tabua for this brand of cachaca.
Cachaca Tabua have two cachaca’s in their portfolio. This Flor de Ouro and a cachaca Flor de Ouro which is aged for 10 years in Balsam casks. Cachaca Tabua Flor de Prata has been bottled at 42% ABV. It is available in a variety of bottles sizes 50ml, 600ml, 670ml and 700ml. The price of the 600ml – 700ml size bottles seems to to vary quite a bit online. It can even be found on Amazon for R$45.
Sagatiba Cristalina Cachaca Pura. In all honesty I had quite forgotten this brand of cachaça even existed. Way back in 2009 before I had really started any kind of rum or cachaça journey I enjoyed the occasional bottle of Bacardi. Back then that was “premium” to me and yes we are talking about the Carta Blanca and flavoured variants.
Cachaca Tie Prata. This is another Cachaca from the Minas Gerais region of Brasil. This hails from Aiuruoca to be exact.
Cachaca Tie are a relatively small producer by Cachaca standards with approximately 35,000 litres of Cachaca produced per year.
Despite a number of long standing Cachaca producers in the Minas Gerais region Tie are also a fairly new producer. They currently have 3 Cachaca’s in their line up – Prata, Ouro and Canelinha.
Cachaca Barao Dourado Amendoim. I think Barao Dourado roughly translates into English as the Golden Baron but don’t quote me on that. Feel free to verify if you know otherwise.
Cachaca has been produced at Barao Dourado Farm for over 200 years. The farm is situated in Santa Maria Madelana, Rio de Janeiro.
ABOUT Brazil Organic Cachaca Silver. In Cachaca you will see the term “organic” used quite a bit. Cachaca producers seem very keen to tell you how organic/natural their products are. Not to mention Environmentally Friendly. About Brazil is a relatively new Cachaca brand with an eye on European distribution.
