Sagatiba Cristalina Cachaca Pura. In all honesty I had quite forgotten this brand of cachaça even existed. Way back in 2009 before I had really started any kind of rum or cachaça journey I enjoyed the occasional bottle of Bacardi. Back then that was “premium” to me and yes we are talking about the Carta Blanca and flavoured variants.

The Duchess Guyana Rum Aged 20 Years Armagnac Finish. This is the final rum in the “Flower” series featuring the artwork of Hans Dillesse, a Dutch artist. The Duchess are an independent bottler from the Netherlands, who began bottling rums in 2018.
The brand are gaining quite a following and this is their latest Single Cask release. If you are in the UK then their rums can be found here. The Duchess Guyana Rum Aged 20 Years Armagnac Finish is a rum from Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL). This particular rum was distilled on the Wooden Coffey Enmore Still. It was distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2019. It has spent 8 years in an ex-Armagnac cask in Europe. I am unsure how much of the its prior 12 years were spent in the Tropics/Europe.
Worthy Park Special Cask Release Quatre Vins. This believe it or not, is the eighth Special Cask Release from Worthy Park. I know, because it says so on the bottle.
The Worthy Park Special Cask Releases are a collaboration between Worthy Park Estate and Danish spirit distributors and bottlers 1423.dk. The rums are tropically aged in Jamaica, in ex-bourbon casks before being sent to Denmark for further maturation. In what so far has been a variety of ex-wine and fortified wine casks.
Velho Alambique Ouro is a cachaça from the town of Santa Tereza, Serra Gaucha in Rio Grande do Sul state, in Southern Brasil. Velho Alambique refers to “Old Alembic” or “Old Distillery” in English.
Finding information particularly background on this brand has proven a little tricky. They do have a website. Unfortunately, a lot of the information isn’t translating too well using simple translation tools available to me. Regrettably my Portuguese is non existent.
Bimber Distillery London Rum. The Bimber journey is one that has it’s beginnings in Malt Whisky. The Craft Micro Distillery at 56 Sunbeam Road, London NW10 6JQ began by producing a Malt Whisky.
Bimber now produce other spirits, such as this rum under the Bimber brand. Whilst Bimber is very much a London brand it’s name is very Polish. Bimber means Moonshine in Polish.
