Cachaca de Alambique Sucuri 2 Anos. Sucuri is the common name used in Brasil for an Anaconda. As a result, Cachaca Sucuri is produced at the intriguingly named, Anaconda Ranch in Vilhena, Rondonia.
The beginnings of cachaca production started at the ranch in 1999. when Joao Zanin moved his family there. Inspired by his father, who had also produced cachaça, as part of a self sustainability lifestyle. In 2000 Cachaca de Alambique Sucuri was born and began to be sold and marketed in the surrounding state.
Saliboa Cachaca is part of the Seleta (Select) family of products. It is one of their more recents products. It is also one of their older cachacas, in terms of ageing.
Turmalina da Serra Carvalho is the latest cachaça to be reviewed on the site. Hailing from Areia in Parariba state. Turmalina da Serra is produced at the Cachoeira Sugar Mill. The property spans over 60,000 m2 in the Atlantic Forest.
Dose Classica Serie Ouro. This is a relatively new cachaça brand which was formed in 2002 by Ralphe Ferreira Jr, who was inspired by his grandfather’s love of Cachaca.
Cahaca Anunciada. Or Cachaça Announced in English. This cachaça is distributed by MusA. They are a producer of all manner of spirits, beers and liqueurs. Based at Sitio Caminho do Sol (Sun Valley Farm).
Cachaca Boa Luz Serie Ouro. This cachaça hails from the smallest state in Brasil Sergibe. Which may explain why it is the first cachaça from that state that I have tried!
Velho Pescador Extra Premium Cachaca Aged 5 Years. Velho Pescador is actually a Weber Haus product. I was unaware of this. As a result of this my sample has remained untouched for a couple of months – as I had so many to try. I had not heard or seen of Velho Pescador before. My bad!
