Novo Fogo Barrel Aged Cachaca

Novo Fogo Barrel Aged Cachaca Rum Review by the fat rum pirateNovo Fogo Barrel Aged Cachaca. Novo Fogo are a cachaça brand I have been aware of for a while now. They have made a bit of a stir in the US, where the brand was first launched.

Novo Fogo use more modern branding and marketing practices, than many of Brasil’s cachaça producers. The cachaça is marketed in a similar manner to how a Premium Rum brand would market itself. However, they do not go in for fairy stories, like many Premium Rum Brands. The information Novo Fogo provide, is authentic and focuses very much on transparency. You learn a lot about what you are drinking with Novo Fogo. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating

Cachaca Bandarra

Cachaca Bandarra Rum Review by the fat rum pirateCachaca Bandarra Salinas MG Brasil as the front label proclaims. The Salinas MG part relates to the city of Salinas in Minas Gerais State in South Eastern Brasil. Salinas an Minas Gerais are as synonymous the good cachaça as Jamaica and Barbados are with good rum.

So it is no surprise the Cachaca Bandarra note where their cachaça is from prominently. The journey of Cachaca Bandarra began in 1997 when entrepreneur Elber Sales, read a report where the Brasillian government where offering financial incentives for those willing to produce and export Cachaca outside of Brasil. BemBom do Brasil Cachaca

BemBom do Brasil Cachaca rum review by the fat rum pirateBemBom do Brasil is a cachaça aimed at the European market. I first came across it at a Rum Festival in Bristol, not Brasil back towards the end of 2017. I have since seen it at other rum festivals around the UK.

It is marketed as “Brazilian Rum” and cachaça at the same time by the company that market it. It has its own website. BemBom is distributed in the UK by Indie Brands, who have a very eclectic range of spirits and drinks, from all around the world. I would imagine traditionalists will not be keen on BemBom, being marketed as “Brazilian Rum”. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating
