Rhum J.M XO. When it comes to Agricole Rhum this bottling from Martinican rhum producer J.M is akin to the likes of R.L Seale’s 10 Year Old or Appleton 12 Year Old in the field of Bajan and Jamaican rum.
It is universally well-regarded and a real staple of the rhum world. It offers a fantastic introduction to higher end Agricole Rhum.
Havana Anisio Santiago Aguardente de Cana. In Brasil, Havana is not necessarily noted first and foremost as the capital of Cuba. For many spirits enthusiasts Havana is the “Temple of Cachaca”.
Foursquare Rum Distillery 2005. Foursquare 2005 Completes my trio of reviews for this years “Exceptional Cask Series”. This is despite the fact the 2005 is actually the lowest numbered of this years release. Had the releases been released in order then I might have reviewed them in such a way. Instead we got them all on the same day in the UK. This left me to publish the reviews in any order I fancied. Which is exactly what I have done.
Foursquare Rum Distillery Premise. Another intriguingly named rum from Foursquare. Premise – a proposition supporting or helping to support a conclusion. Cryptic, very cryptic.
Kill Devil Jamaica Hampden Distillery Aged 10 Years – The Whisky Barrel Exclusive. An exclusive bottling sees one of Scotland’s younger rum bottlers, team up with a relatively youthful Scottish retailer in the shape of The Whisky Barrel.
Foursquare Rum Distilery Principia. Finding things to say about Foursquare Distillery and Richard Seale are becoming increasingly difficult. I’m not sure how many Foursquare releases I have reviewed over the past 3 or so years. It must be over 20 easily by now.
Compagnie des Indes (East India Company) Jamaica New Yarmouth 12 Year old rum. Compagnie des Indes are an independent bottler from France.
