Foursquare Rum Distillery 2007. Foursquare may have dropped the “Rum Distillery” part from the front label but I’m keeping if for my review titles. Just to keep things nice and tidy. I was going to finish off the sherry finished rums and review Patrimonio but my photographer is not available tonight, so we’ll do the 2007 instead.

Foursquare Rum Distillery Hereditas TWE Exclusive. This rum is exclusive to The Whisky Exchange, London. Rum is increasingly being taken more and more seriously by whisky enthusiasts. At the forefront of this is Sukhinder Singh owner of The Whisky Exchange.
As well as having a much envied collection of rare and collectible whisky, Sukhinder also has a similarly impressive array of rum, at the Whisky Exchange offices. I was one of the lucky rum enthusiasts who were invited to attend a “bring a bottle” event and dinner at the Whisky Exchange’s tasting room, back in October last year. The event was part of London Rumfest. It was a great event and I was humbled to be invited along.
Kill Devil Hampden Distillery Jamaica Aged 35 Years. Another bottling of Jamaican rum from Kill Devil but this time you can find this particular bottling at a few different online outlets as it isn’t a Whisky Barrel exclusive. Though you can still buy it from them should you wish.
As you can see from the photo the presentation for this one strays from the usual Kill Devil bottle and presentation tube. It perhaps might not surprise you, bearing in mind the age of the spirit in the bottle that the pricing is also significantly different. The most expensive Hampden from Kill Devil before this bottling was £200 for a 24-year-old rum.
Velier Skeldon 1973 Full Proof Old Demerara Rum. One of the oldest rums, both in terms of when it was distilled and the length of time it was aged, I have reviewed so far. This is also one of the rarest. It was one of the earlier Velier bottlings originally released back in 2005. Long before I had become serious about rum.
Foursquare Rum Distillery Destino Velier 70th Anniversay Release. This was released in 2017 as part of the Velier “Drop by Drop” anniversary series. At the time of release this was limited to just 500 bottles.
We are currently awaiting the “general” release of Foursquare Rum Distillery Destino. The Warren Khong artwork used in these 500 bottles was exclusive to the Velier release. The release of Destino we currently await will be feature the more standard Velier artwork.
Appleton Estate 15 Year Old Rum. Don’t get too excited about this. I have some bad news. Currently unless you are in Canada – you will struggle to find a bottle of this. As it is an exclusive release for Canada. Which on the face of it seems a bit of an odd decision but odd things do often happen in the world of rum.
Habitation Velier Worthy Park 2007 WPL. 
Jamaica Pure Single Rum from the Worthy Park Estate. Although Velier are an Independent bottler and importer many of the Habitation Velier releases are collaborations between Velier and the producers.
Rather, than the more traditional Independent bottling model, whereby the bottler either buys direct from the distillery or sources from a broker, Habitation Velier release the rums in conjunction with the distillery, as a joint venture.
