Cachaca da Tulha Special Edition 2019

Cachaca da Tulha Special Edition 2019 rum review by the fat rum pirateCachaca da Tulha Special Edition 2019. In 1998 Vevo and Guto Quintella took over the São José do Mato Seco farm in Mococa, São Paulo.

By 2004 they had begun producing “traditional” Cachaca aged in native Brasilian woods – Carvalho and Jequitiba. The Quintella’s also set up a small “laboratory” for cachaca. In this laboratory they began experimenting with ageing cachaca in various wood such as Amburana, Balsam and European and American oak. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating

Ron Izalco Rum Cask Strength Aged 15 Years

Ron Izalco Rum Cask Strength Aged 15 Years review by the fat rum pirateRon Izalco Rum Cask Strength Aged 15 Years. This brand is produced by California based Phenomenal Spirts, which are headed up Karthik Sudhir. Not putting any pressure on yourself with name are you Karthik?

I actually met Karthik in September 2019 at a tasting of his rum at Trailer Happiness in London. It was a complete fluke really that I was down London for work purposes and was able to attend. Rum of the Year 2020 – Winner

Rum of the Year 2020 - Shortlist by the fat rum pirateRum of the Year 2020 – Winner. There are numerous Rum Awards ceremonies. Proudly declaring to have found “The Best Rum in the World”. This particular award makes no such claims.

There is no commercial incentive for my award of “Rum of the Year”. No stickers or medals to be awarded. It’s very much the opinion of one amateur Rum Enthusiast. This is merely a bit of fun. I do not think I am the Jim Murray of the Rum World! Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating
