Dràm Mòr Single Cask Rum Clarendon Estate Aged 10 Years. The Dràm Mòr Group are a new bottler of Scotch Whisky and Rum, who hail from Bonny Scotland. Dumbarton to be exact. The group is headed up by husband and wife team Viktorija and Kenny Macdonald.
Dràm Mòr as well as being quite a fun little pun “dram more” means literally Big Whisky in Gaelic. The bottling I am reviewing today is a rum (obviously) and is one of 2 releases so far from the group.
Jamaican Rum JMM Thompson Bros and Bar Tre. Here we have another bottling from a Scottish Independent Bottler in the form of the Thompson Bros. For this release they have collaborated with Japanese bar “Bar Tre” in Hiroshima.
Royal Jamaican Rum Aged 12 Years. This is a rum brand from National Rums of Jamaica (NRJ) and hails from the Monymusk distillery. I have seen this brand online but have rarely seen any reviews or discussion around it.
S.B.S – The 1423 Single Barrel Selection Jamaica 2007 PX Cask Finish. Rums from Jamaica have really taken off again over the past couple of years. The renaissance of the Worthy Park Estate and Hampden finally bottling their own aged rum, along with a number of very interesting high ester Jamaican bottlings from the likes of Kill Devil and Letter of Marque. All this activity, has really invigorated Jamaican rum.
