Foursquare Indelible. I’m just about over the fact Foursquare are not going to return to the “Foursquare Rum Distillery” moniker on their bottles. It saddens me a little. I kind of liked “ye days of olde”, when the bottles looked a bit more home made, a bit less uniform and of course lot less expensive…….

Dràm Mòr Single Cask Rum Foursquare Distillery Aged 13 Years. The success of the Foursquare Distillery is ongoing. Bottles in the Exceptional Cask Series are now being available only via a ballot at some of the bigger UK retailers. To be honest the very idea of a ballot, whereby you enter a raffle to actually spend your own money is pretty mind boggling in the rum world. However, it has been fairly common place for some time in the world of Scotch Whisky. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating
Foursquare Rum Distillery Shibboleth. I should really be dropping the “Rum Distillery” part of my title, as Foursquare are no longer noting this on the bottle. Jung & Wulff Luxury Rums No 3 Barbados. As the title of this review might suggest this is the third rum I have reviewed in the Jung & Wulff series from American powerhouses Sazerac.
I’ve covered the story around Jung & Wulff in previous reviews. So if you haven’t read the reviews prior this one (which of course you will have) please check them out. I don’t like repeating myself in my reviews. I’m sure I’ll find something else to prattle on about. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating
Cockspur XO Master’s Select. Up until a couple of years ago, you would have been lucky to find a range of Cockspur branded rum in the UK. Aside from the gold Cockspur Fine Rum. Which was available quite readily in a couple of major supermarkets.
Before this the VSOR and/or 12 was quite readily available but this dried up considerably over the past 5 or so years. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating
Neptune Rum Caribbean Spiced. You’ve likely seen plenty of Neptune Rum over the past few years. They have “won” numerous awards around the world. I’m not really a particularly a big fan of the “Pay to Play” award ceremonies and their associated marketing. That said, if I was launching a rum brand I’d probably enter a few just to see what benefits they might have. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating
Foursquare Rum Distillery Redoubtable. The Exceptional Cask Series from Foursquare shows no signs of letting up. This is the XV marque so the 15th release in the series. Which started with relatively little fanfare, with the now much sought after 1998 release. How things have changed.
This particular rum is, according to Richard Seale, the follow up to last years Nobiliary.. As far as the name is concerned Redoubtable means “formidable” or “very strong”. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating
