Doorly’s Fine Old Barbados Rum Aged 14 Years. Yet another release from the increasingly prolific Foursquare Rum Distillery, Barbados. This release, unlike the Exceptional Cask Series (Empery and 2007 to follow) and the Velier collaborations (Patrimonio will also follow soon here) will be available as a constant addition to the Foursquare portfolio.

Cachaca Nova Alianca Balsamo. Translated roughly into English this means Cachaca New Alliance. The company behind these cachaca’s was formed fairly recently in 1988. The company is headed up by Janio Cesar Silva.
From what I can gather his the grandson (?) of Bijan Romualdo de Silva. Bijan aunched Indaiazinha Cachaca back in 1958 in Salinas, Minas Gerais. One of the largest and most respected Cachaca producing regions in Brasil.
The Duchess are a recent addition to the numerous independent bottlers of rum here in Europe. Hailing from the Netherlands they are fronted up by Nils Van Rijn.

Vale do Sol Organicos Cachaca Ouro. This cachaça hails from the “Sun Valley” in the state of Rio Grande do Sol in the south of Brasil.The distillery is situated in Parana.
Like a few cachacas, I have noticed that the brand are very proud about being an “Organic” cachaça producer. They are another producer that do not use any pesticides etc and do everything “in-house” at the distillery.
Spice Hunter Boldest Spiced Rum. I’ve seen spiced rum described in many different ways but I’ve never heard anyone claim their spiced rum is the boldest before.
Not many spiced rums claim to add 13 different spices to the rum. Which is why as their website informs us – they have decided to call it “Boldest Spiced Rum”. They think it is a very bold move to infuse so many spiced into their rum.
