I’m reviewing a rum from the Transcontinental Rum Line for the first time today. This release is in conjunction with The Whisky Exchange and is available exclusively via them (as the title of this review suggests!)
This seems a little strange as the Transcontinental Rum Line is actually the Independent bottling arm of La Maison du Whisky. Which is a French physical and online retail store. It is of sorts the equivalent of The Whisky Exchange in the UK. They have have ties to Velier as well.
Foursquare Rum Distillery Diadem. For once, I am actually familiar with a term being used on one of these fancy named Foursquare bottlings. We’ll get round to that shortly.
A Diadem is actually a jewelled headband worn as a sign of sovereignty. In other words it something the Queen might put on, when she can’t be arsed with the full faff on, of sticking one of her crowns upon the Royal bonce. Or something like that.
Mount Gay Select Blend of Matured Rums TWE Exclusive. TWE stands for The Whisky Exchange. Which is a physical and online store based in London, England. Headed up by business man and spirits enthusiast Sukhinder Singh. I’m a regular customer with them as they have one of the best selections of rum available in the UK.
