Ron Caney Anejo Centuria – another Cuban rum I picked up in Spain. Which seems to be the place to go if you want lower to mid level Cuban rum. At a very reasonable price.
As with a lot of Cuban rums information is a little sketchy. Some information online seem to suggest this a blend of rums aged between 5 and 9 years. Other resources denote it being a 7 year old rum.
Ron Montero is a rum producer from Motril, Spain. Ron Montero Gran Reserva is the premium end of their regular line up of rums. They also released a “Super Premium” rum to celebrate 50 years of rum making the “Ron Francisco Montero”.
Eight Republica sees the UK based rum company move away from the island of St Lucia for the first time. Since launching in 2006 Elements Eight have focused on a range of rums solely from St Lucia Distillers. Following a re-launch and re-design of the rums range in 2016 Carl Stephenson, the founder of Elements Eight began thinking about releasing rums from other countries/regions.
Ron Varadero is a Cuban rum brand which is extremely popular in Spain. They have a number of different expressions. Mostly at the younger end of the scale.
Another independent release from Berrys’ Bros and Rudd. This time they have bottled a Latin style rum from Panama.
Kill Devil are and ever increasing range of Independently bottled rums from Whisky bottler Hunter Laing. Unsurprisingly perhaps Whisky based online retailers such as The Whisky Exchange and Master of Malt have been stocking their rums from the outset.
Legendario’s Elxir de Cuba is perhaps the most confusing bottle of rum in the world. Which in itself meant I had to get a hold of this Cuban curiosity for a review.
