Cassario Golden Rum. I reviewed a “Gold Rum” from the Cassario brand a few years ago.It was 2022 to be precise. Back then, discount supermarket ALDI were offering a 7 Year Old Costa Rican rum at £17.99. In the current “cost of living” crisis they are now stocking a NAS “Barbados Golden Rum” from an un-named distillery at £16.99.
Don Q Reserva Anejo 7 Anos. The Don Q range has undertaken quite a re-vamp over the past few years. They have both expanded and re-categorised their range of rums.
So we now have the “Traditional Range” which comprises their Gold, Cristal and 151 rum. The “Flavors” comprising Naranja, Coco, PIna and Limon. Finally we have the “Serralles Collection” which seems to house pretty much everything else.
J Gow Wild Yeast Series NMO 2021 Moscatel. Today we return to Lamb Holm in the Orkney Isles for the latest release in J Gow’s “Wild Yeast Series”. For those of you who have been following this page, over the past few years the J Gow Brand from VS DIstillers should be familiar.
I have been following their journey for some time now. We are now increasingly seeing the fruits of their “aged” casks.
Rhum Bielle Canne Grise. It is increasingly rare that I am “out and about” in actual physical spirit stores. Locally I am fortunate to have a shop which is near to my place of work which stocks a lot of rum that they source from The Whisky Exchange. So they usually have a bottle or two that I can pick up should I not wish to wait for a delivery.
Foursquare Fidelitas. I recently bemoaned the fact that other reviewers were getting Foursquare rum reviews out before me. Suggesting, that I need to up my game. Todays review really takes the biscuit though, as Steven James of Rum Diaries Blog has produced a review before me of this particular rum. The little bastard.
Foursquare Convocation. If like myself you have a fairly limited lexicon with regards to Latin and words derived from it you’ll have no idea what a Convocation might be. It might not even come from Latin for all I know.
Millions of Peaches 3 Year Old Manx Rum. I am reviewing my first rum from Outlier Distilling Company today. Outlier are based on the Isle of Man in the deep dark Irish Sea .I’ve got quite a few reviews coming from Outlier Distilling Company so I will save the geography lesson for another time.
