Bacardi Spiced. Or more accurately Bacardi Spiced Spirit Drink. As the ABV on this offering is only 35% it does not hit the minimum 37.5% EU requirement to be labelled as a rum. The UK are no longer in the EU. We are still pretty much following all their rules and regulations though………

Foursquare Touchstone. Touchstone represents the 22nd release in the Exceptional Cask Series from Foursquare Rum Distillery, Barbados. This release is a bit of a collaboration in terms of the maturation.
In January 2019 Foursquare acquired ten casks from the cognac producer Camus. Ten Casks from their Caribbean Expedition Cognac program. After a year the casks were emptied and and the cognac was shipped back to France. The casks were then filled with 2008 vintage and 12 year old ex-bourbon cask rum. The rum was then matured for a further two years. More information can be found here.
Dead Reckoning Mhoba – South Africa. We have in the past, reviewed both Dead Reckoning’s offerings and a few of Mhoba’s own wares. Today we are combining the two in a quite youthful independent bottling, which unfortunately for those of us in Europe is an Australia only release. Well, initially it was anyway………..
Foursquare Isonomy. The reviews haven’t been as prolific as usual of late. So we are falling behind a little with regards the latest releases in Foursquare’s Exceptional Cask Series.
To be honest the way the rums are selling out pretty much straight away the most likely place now to find a bottle of Isonomy is on the Secondary market. You may find the odd retailer has stock but they may be asking for a price above the original RRP.
Dead Reckoning Mutiny – South Pacific 20 Year Bourbon Cask. Finally the team over at Dead Reckoning Rum have released a rum outside of Australia. Rum fans in mainland Europe and the UK (if you can negotiate the horrors of Brex-shit) will now be able to source a Dead Reckoning release.
There are actually two Dead Reckoning Rum’s available in the European market – this one and a 10 Year Old also from South Pacific Distillery.
S.B.S – The 1423 Single Barrel Selection Antigua 2015. Continuing the theme of recent reviews of Independent Bottlers (IB’s), today we are reviewing a rum from Danish bottlers/brand owners/distributors 1423.
In the UK we are fortunate to receive a very healthy number of products from 1423, as the chaps over at Skylark Spirits have taken over distribution of their products.
Samaroli Barbados Rum Distilled in 2010 TWB Exclusive 15th Anniversary. It’s probably worth me noting at this point that this is a rum from the Foursquare Distillery.
