Rhum Depaz Rhum Hors D’Age Agricole XO. Or we could call it the Grande Reserve XO. Either way this is one of the top rums in the Depaz range. Rhum Depaz hail from the French Island of Martinique. Rhum Depaz produce their agricole rhum in line with the AOC Martinique guidelines. So its “full on” agricole rhum if you like.

J. Gow Fading Light Something is happening up in Scotland – besides the casual attitude towards cardiac arrest and the terrible football. Over the past 2 to 3 years a number of rum brands and distilleries have burst out of that part of the world. Think Dark Matter, Sugar House and Wester.
Worthy Park Special Cask Release Port. Last year Worthy Park released the first of their two “Special Cask Releases”. They also released their own Single Estate Reserve.
Worthy Park are very keen to release their rums either as their own Rum Bar brand, inconjunction with Habitation Velier and as part of these Special Cask releases. Establishing a strong brand identity for Worthy Park rum.
Cachaca Tie Prata. This is another Cachaca from the Minas Gerais region of Brasil. This hails from Aiuruoca to be exact.
Cachaca Tie are a relatively small producer by Cachaca standards with approximately 35,000 litres of Cachaca produced per year.
Despite a number of long standing Cachaca producers in the Minas Gerais region Tie are also a fairly new producer. They currently have 3 Cachaca’s in their line up – Prata, Ouro and Canelinha.
Pusser’s 15 Year Old Rum has been around for some time. (At least 15 years I can hear someone saying……) I first reviewed it a few years ago. I do intend to re-review some of the rums I have covered going forward. To be honest, Pusser’s 15 Year Old was one that would have had that treatment bestowed upon it anyway – miniatures of the rum are readily available. Which makes it easier on the wallet.
