This is their fourth release, following on from some very impressive rums from Jamaica and Belize. Today we are in familiar territory with an independently bottled Port Mourant rum from Guyana.

1931 St Lucia Distillers – Chairman’s Reserve. This is a rum which is both new and familiar. Iterations of “1931” have been available since 2011. The rum was originally released to celebrate 80 years of rum production on St Lucia. For 6 years a different blend of rums were put together to commemorate another year of rum production on the island.
Worthy Park 2007 12 Year Old Thompson Brothers for TWE. So what do we have hear then? I rather think most of that has been answered by the title of this rum. Back to Jamaica we are going (via Scotland) for another dose of Pot Still goodness from Worthy Park Distillery.
Those in the know have known about the revival of Worthy Park for a while now. Even I reviewed my first Worthy Park way back in 2015. I was also fortunate enough to be granted an interview with Zan Kong around the same time.
Clarkes Court #37 Blend Limited Edition. Released way back in 2010 this rum was produced to celebrate the 37th year of Grenada’s independence. Bit random but I guess it ties in with the distillery being established in 1937?.
Anyway for those not familiar with Clarkes Court they are the number one selling rum brand on Grenada.
BrewDog Distilling Co. Five Hundred Cuts Botanical Rum. Those of you outside of the UK might not be familiar with BrewDog. Those from the UK will probably not be all that surprised to seeing me reviewing this “Botanical Rum”.
BrewDog was originally formed in 2007 by James Watt and Martin Dickie in Ellon, Scotland. Whilst the company has grown into a multinational company over the years its largest operation of bars is here in the UK.
Riviere du Mat XO. Despite being founded way back in 1886 I have seen very little coverage of the rum/rhum which flies under the Riviere du Mat brand. For a reviewer it can be quite difficult to review numerous rums from the same distillery and come up with something new and interesting to say. However, today I am going to have to do a bit of digging to find out what Riviere du Mat is all about.
