Cachaca Havaninha – The Saga of Anisio Santiago continues….Is the strap line for this brand of cachaça which hails from Salinas, Minas Gerais state. For those of you that have been following my cachaça reviews the name Anisio Santiago may ring a few bells as he was mentioned in an earlier review.

Cambeba Cachaca Organica 10 Year Old. Upon attending the Cachaca festival earlier this year, I was advised by some of the experts there, to try anything that looks like it’s been put in a beer bottle. This seemed quite a bizarre suggestion.
I am not sure if the intention was to ensure I tried Cambeba 10 Year Old but with that in mind I did end up trying it based solely on that rather strange suggestion.
Havana Anisio Santiago Aguardente de Cana. In Brasil, Havana is not necessarily noted first and foremost as the capital of Cuba. For many spirits enthusiasts Havana is the “Temple of Cachaca”.
Over the past 2 to 3 decades Havana Farm has become an almost sacred place where Cachaca was almost single handedly resurrected as a quality premium spirit.
Cachaca Mandaguahy Amendoim. As noted with last weeks review of Cachaca Fuzue I will be writing quite a bit about Cachaca from now on. With so many rum reviews online and so little written about Cachaca in English I feel it is a good opportunity to help us all learn a little more about Cachaca.
Many of the brands I will be covering will be unfamiliar to the European and American market. Many are very much domestic products. However, the House of Cachaca are trying to lift the profile of Cachaca beyond just Brasil.
