Sol Tarasco Extra Aged Charanda Hongos

Sol Tarasco Extra Aged Charanda Hongos rum review by the fat rum pirateSol Tarasco Extra Aged Charanda Hongos. We are diversifying once again. This time our journey into other Sugar Cane derived spirits is taking us to Central America. Charanda is to Mexico what Cachaca is to Brasil. Whilst it is essentially “rum” it has it’s own little nuances, defined by the “terroir” of the spirit. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating

Berry Bros & Rudd The Classic Range Guatemala

Berry Bros & Rudd The Classic Range Guatemala Rum review by the fat rum pirateBerry Bros & Rudd The Classic Range Guatemala. When it comes to rum there is little doubt that over the past 20 years Guatemala has become on of the worlds biggest players.

Hattiers Premium Reserve Rum

Hattiers Premium Reserve Rum Review by the fat rum pirateHattiers Premium Reserve Rum. Blended rum (particularly from multi islands) has been on the decline recently, in terms of new products. I can’t think of all that many multi island blends that have popped up recently. Berry Bros & Rudd The Classic Range Barbados Rum

Berry Bros & Rudd The Classic Range Barbados Rum review by the fat rum pirateBerry Bros & Rudd The Classic Range Barbados Rum. Berry Bros & Rudd or Berrys’ have been bottling Premium Rum from all around world, for all the time I have been interested in rum.

At one stage they were one of the few Independent bottlers. Their bottlings would typically be at 46% ABV, which at the time was pretty much the standard set in both rum and whisky. Berrys’ have never released a whole range of “Cask Strength” rums like some bottlers have chosen to do. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating

Rivers Royale Grenadian Rum 69%

Rivers Royale Grenadian Rum 69% Rum review by the fat rum pirateRivers Royale Grenadian Rum. Rivers is a historic brand of Overproof rum from the Caribbean Island of Grenada. It is not a Grenadine flavoured rum. Definitely not.

It is a rum a lot of Rum Enthusiasts will hear about. It has taken me quite a long time to try this. I finally found a store in the UK/Europe that had it in stock. Many, will hear about this rum but nowhere near as many will ever try Rivers Royale Grenadian Rum. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating

Novo Fogo Tanager

Novo Fogo Tanager cachaca rum review by the fat rum pirateNovo Fogo Tanager. We have covered the Novo Fogo brand previously, when we reviewed their Barrel Aged Cachaca expression.
