Cane Island are a new Independent bottler. We have already covered their 8 Year Old Barbados rum – a rather good one from Foursquare.
Up next is an 8 Year Old from Trinidad. Which means it is to young to come from the the now defunct and much heralded Caroni distillery. Leaving us with the only remaining option on Trinidad – Angostura.
The latest release from Bristol is this (near) Cask Strength effort from the Caroni Distillery. Bristol have released a good few Caroni rums over the past few years. Including their 1974 effort, which I have sadly yet to review.
Another Independent bottling and another rum from Bristol Classic Rum. Bristol’s Caribbean Collection is actually a blend of Trini only rums. As you can see from the bottle shot to the right.
Another independent bottling from Kill Devil. This time we are taking a trip to Trinidad. This rum is one of the first releases by Kill Devil to be released at Cask Strength.
Back in 2013 Angostura announced the launch of No.1. The first in a new collection of limited edition “Premium” rums.
Caroni Aged 15 Years is the older brother of the Aged 12 Years I reviewed earlier. Both bottlings by Velier standards are relatively inexpensive.
In late 2015 a curious bottling of Trinidad rum – Providence Estate arrived on the scene from Bristol Classic Rum. It certainly caught my attention somewhat more than perhaps yet another Caroni offering.
