An Interview with Karen Hoskin – Montanya Distilers. The World Wide Web throws up all kinds of opportunities for a blogger. So here I am compiling an interview with none other than Karen Hoskin of Montanya Distillers, Colorado in the US of A.
I have actually met Karen (at last years London Rumfest) and Karen was also present at the first European Online Rum Festival earlier this year. I decided to revive the interviews during lockdown to try and help out less “established” brands and those who are just getting their feet here in the UK.

An Interview with RumCask. I will keep the introduction for this one fairly brief as the three lads that make up the RumCask team Indy, Jaz and Chet have really put the effort in when it has come to this interview!
I’ve been friendly with the RumCask lads since the Manchester Rum Festival in 2017 where I met Indy. I had briefly met them previously at London Rumfest but discussions had been in larger groups rather than speaking to them on a more personal level.
Pixan Rum de Mexico 8 Anos. Spirit that gives life is the translation from Mayan into English for Pixan (Pea-shan). As the title suggests this is a rum from Mexico.
To be more exact, Monterray in North East Mexico. It hails from the Destileria Espiritus del Norte (Northern Spirit Distillery). The rum is produced using molasses from the city of San Luis Potosi. Which is in central Mexico.
