Well the thing is they release a lot of Single Cask rums. Privateer are very keen to give us rum fans as much information as possible. So the names do get a bit lengthy.

Privateer International Distillers Drawer When in Rum Overproof Rum. Thanks to increased distribution in Europe and very generous samples from rum fans around the world, I’m beginning to build up a nice set of Privateer Rum reviews.

Privateer International Letter of Marque Sisters in Arms TWE Exclusive. TWE for those who have are unaware is the commonly used abbreviation for The Whisky Exchange, which is increasingly focusing attention on rum. They have their own rum brand in the shape of The Black Tot and more and more of these “exclusive” rums are popping up.
Habitation Velier Privateer 2017. For many Velier will need no introduction. For those that maybe aren’t as quite far on in their rum journey, I’ll give a little background on Velier and the Habitation Velier releases in particular.
Velier SpA was founded in 1947 (it celebrated it’s 70th birthday in 2017) they are primarily a spirits and wine distributor. They also Independently bottle rum in particular for the European market.
Privateer International – Distillers Drawer New England Rum Bottled in Bond #31. Hailing from Ipswich, Boston Privateer are a rum company that have been making great waves over in the US of A. Founded by Andrew Cabot in 2011, their rums are overseen by Head Distiller Maggie Campbell.
Privateers rums occasionally find their way over here to the UK, usually in very small amount via The Whisky Exchange. As a result it had proved quite tricky to obtain their rums to review. Bayou Select Rum. Bayou are a rum brand that hail from Louisiana in the US of A. I have been aware of the brand for a number of years now. They have displayed their Select and Spiced Rum at the London Rumfest the past couple of years. The stand is always pretty busy and one year I struggled to get a taste of their rums as I couldn’t get near the stand.
