Colombina Cachaca de Minas Serie Especial 10 Anos. Cachaça under the Colombina moniker was first produced way back in 1920. The brand hails from Alvinopolis, Santa Barbara, MInas Gerais in Brasil – as always with Cachaca. The Canjica farm where Colombina was first produced has been producing Cachaca since the late 19th century. The Canjica sugar mill is of recognised historical value as one of the “principal mills remaining from the colonial period in Minas Gerais”.

Cachaca Barao Dourado Amburana
Cachaca Barao Dourado Amburana. I’ve previously reviewed Cachaca Barao Dourado Amendoim which was a silver or white cachaça. This cachaça has been aged in Amburana wood casks.I like Cachaca Barao Dourado as they make reviewing their Cachaca’s quite simple and easy. They give you all the information you need on the bottle and the use of the wood types, it is aged in to identify each Cachaca, makes it super simple for me. One of the biggest problems I have had reviewing Cachaca (particularly those samples only available in Brasil) is finding information and information I can translate and understand. I do not speak Portuguese!

Sapucaia Florida Ouro. Cachaca Sapucaia was first produced in Pindamonhangaba, Sao Paolo in the Paraiba Valley in 1933. They have 5 cachacas currently in their range. This Sapucaia Florida Ouro is their youngest cachaça. The name is taken from the Sapucaia farm, on which the cachaça is produced.
