Habitation Velier Foursquare 2015 White Pure Single Rum. This is quite a rare rum and difficult to come by. I was fortunate enough to be gifted a sample from Steve at Rum Diaries Blog, who even more fortunate to gifted a partially drank bottle at London Rumfest a couple of years ago. At the time the rum was not commercially available.

MANCHESTER RUM FESTIVAL RETURNS FOR A THIRD YEAR
‘The perfect Christmas present for rum lovers’
Rum advocate and Manchester based Dave Marsland of Drinks Enthusiast is bringing back Manchester Rum Festival for a 3rd year running, hosting it at the new event and exhibition space Brickworks, within Barton Arcade on Deansgate. Saturday 8th June 2019 will see an expansion of the previous two sold-out festivals, resulting in both an afternoon and evening session for the first time, with ticket prices frozen from the 2018 festival, staying at £20 per person.
Don Papa Rum Aged 10 Years. Alongside Bumbu, Don Papa have become the poster boys for adultered rum masquerading as premium. You could throw a few other rums into the mix, that use additives but Don Papa’s offerings are met with dismay and derision by most serious rum enthusiasts.
Perhaps the biggest reason for this is the sheer success of the brand. So not content with offering us a 7 Year Old version of their delicious elixir they felt that a further aged version of their wonderous concoction, was just what the rum world needed.
Cambeba Cachaca Organica 10 Year Old. Upon attending the Cachaca festival earlier this year, I was advised by some of the experts there, to try anything that looks like it’s been put in a beer bottle. This seemed quite a bizarre suggestion.
I am not sure if the intention was to ensure I tried Cambeba 10 Year Old but with that in mind I did end up trying it based solely on that rather strange suggestion.
Doctor Bird Jamaica Rum. All the way from the US of A strangely enough. I’ve been fortunate enough to get my hands on a very decent sized sample of this particular rum.
Doctor Bird Jamaica Rum has been causing quite a stir over the other side of the pond. Alongside some Hampden offerings from Stolen (another US Brand), they have given the American’s a couple of rums that us European’s are actually quite envious of.
Flor do Brasil Aguardente de Cana. These Cachaca’s have been produced in Castelo, Espirito Santo since 1949. Information on this brand has been hard to come by. It appears that this cachaça the Special Reserve is their premium offering. Their other Cachaca’s are presented with differing bottles and logo’s. Which was a bit confusing.
