Compagnie des Indes Guyana Aged 29 Years Enmore Still

Compagnie des Indes Guyana Aged 29 Years Enmore Still rum review by the fat rum pirateCompagnie des Indes Guyana Aged 29 Years Enmore Still. Compagnie des Indes are a French Independent bottler headed up by Florian Beuchet. They have been around for about 5-6 years now, if my memory serve me right. So they are one of the newer kids on the block.

Imports of the Compagnie des Indes range have been slow to the UK. We now get a few bottlings but it is much easier to find their Single Cask and Blended rums online in Europe. Compagnie des Indes bottle Single Casks of rum at Cask Strength and at the more pedestrian 40-46% range. They also have a range of blended rums which they produce in small batches to try and have a continuous (if slightly different) product available at a more accessible price point, particularly for those experimenting with rum. Compagnie des Indes Caraibes

Compagnie Des Indes Caraibes Blend Rum Review by the fat rum pirateCompagnie des Indes Caraibes. The French Independent bottler Compagnie des Indes have been making great strides over the past couple of years. They have expanded from releasing rums at 43-46% ABV and are now moving into Cask Strength bottlings.

A fair few of these have went to the Danish market and have been pretty difficult to come by in the UK and mainland Europe. Generous samples from enthusiasts in Denmark have helped me try some of these rums. Fortunately Compagnie des Indes Caraibes is/was a little easier to access. Compagnie des Indes Jamaica New Yarmouth 12 Year Old (Danish Bottling)

Compagnie des Indes New Yarmouth Denmark Rum Review by the fat rum pirateCompagnie des Indes (East India Company) Jamaica New Yarmouth 12 Year old rum. Compagnie des Indes are an independent bottler from France.

So far they have not achieved fame for any particular bottling or style, the way the likes of Velier, Rum Nation and Bristol Classic have. Though they have established a reputation for bottling an eclectic series of single casks and their own signature blends. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating

Compagnie des Indes St Lucia 13 Years

compagnie des indes 13 years old st lucia rum review by the fat rum pirateAnother offering from Florent Beuchart’s Compagnie de Indes.  This time we are in familiar territory for site as we look at another bottling from St Lucia.

CDI have been gaining a good reputation over the past couple of years.  Stand out packaging – complete with a lot of information, that their target audience will want. Some clever marketing ploys with a few amusingly named/presented blended rums such as Boulet de Canon and the Oktoberfest rum released in Germany. Compagnie des Indes Guyana 13 Year Old

Compagnie Des Indes Guyana 13 rum review by the fat rum pirateCompagnie des Indes (French East India Company) are a relative newcomer to the Independent bottling scene.  They have however, released a frightening amount of rums over the past 2 years.  The brainchild of Florent Beuchet who has a long history in the Drinks Industry having been the brand manager for Banks Rum and also helping his father run a small absinthe distillery in his native France. Vidya The River Mumma

Vidya The River Mumma rum review by the fat rum pirateVidya The River Mumma. I’m pleased to present today the first Independent bottling from UK based importer/distributor Skylark Spirits. As you will learn from this review they have started things at the more daring end of the rum spectrum.

I think it was Rumfest 2018 that I first became aware of any aged rum from the New Yarmouth Distillery on Jamaica. I tried a Compagnie des Indes bottling and reviewed the higher ABV Denmark only release. Read more to see the fatrumpirate rating
